DYNO-BOOST PERFORMANCE CHIP Yamaha YBR125 YBR250 YZF-R125
Though fuel controllers basically are designed to gain more performance and not especially to improve the economy, EVO-Tech fuel controller does reduce the fuel consumption in case of normal, everyday riding manner. Modification of the air fuel ratio - slightly at the expense of other factors as emission, etc., - results in increased combustion efficiency and fuel saving accordingly. The typical economy improvement is 6%.
The fuel trim on fuel injected up-to-date vehicles is controlled by the Electronic Engine Management, also referred to as ECU, or ECM. Most factory ECU's are set to maintain a 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio. This is known as a stoichiometric fuel mix however this is a lean mix as well because of rigorous emission standards the manufacturers have to comply with. On new generation fuel injected engines from the early 80's you have been unable to adjust the AFR - in order to add more horsepower to the powertrain - with rejetting, like on carburated models. EVO-Tech is intended to conduct this adjustment to achieve maximum performence boost.
