This is a very reliable system , and very easy to work on and diagnose for problems if you ever have any .
The electronic ignition system consists of
Ignition switch , Obviously this is important as it turns the ignition on and off and if this was faulty it would cause ignition problems .
Generator , makes the electricity to to run the lights and other electrical equipment and recharge the battery for next starting cycle . see our post of testing the generator here .
CDI , Computes the spark timing , it also compute the injection timing and duration .
HT ignition coil , transforms the 12v signal from the CDI into enough voltage (25000) to jump the spark plug gap and create the spark for ignition . see our post on testing the coil here .
Spark plug , 0.6mm gap , NGK CR6HSA , torque setting 13nm .
