To keep your bike in the "Wide Moat" category of reliability, you need a disciplined routine that accounts for age and modern fuel.
1. The 1,000-Mile "Oil Audit"
The YBR 125 only holds 1 litre of oil and has no paper filter.

Cables: Use a cable luber tool on your throttle and clutch cables. If they feel "gritty," they are about to snap.
Pivots: Grease your kickstand, gear shifter, and brake pedal pivots. It makes the bike feel "brand new" and prevents parts from seizing in the winter salt.
5. Battery & Electrics
Clean your battery terminals and apply a dab of petroleum jelly to prevent "furring." On a fuel-injected bike, a weak battery is your biggest enemy.
